Worked on a project Medical Therapy Management (MTM) which is an effort to consolidate all medical conditions of a patient. The system is responsible to maintain online and batch applications relating pharmacist, prescriber and patient information. The system also generates notifications in the form of PDF documents. Development environment worked on was Websphere Application Server (WSAD) v5.1.0

Role:
To accomplish the task of sending notifications, I was responsible to develop the notifications generation system that sent out PDF documents. Using 2 open source technologies, IText and FOP, I designed and implemented the pdf generation system. I also created documentation.
Technologies implemented were core Java, IText and FOP api, JSP, XML, XML  parsing (JAXP) using SAX parser, XSL, XSLT, PDF Acrobat Professional, web deployment, ANT, Java properties api, JUnit, Unix, Oracle 8i,10g, TOAD.
Created PDF templates with Acrobat form fields from Word documents using Acrobat Professional.
Worked with JSP screens in the online application to integrate online patient cases with notifications generation system.
Developed Oracle pl-sql to interact with the database.
Developed a batch program to generate patient cases from patient data load received from external back-end processes. Implemented core Java, Java properties api, DataAccess objects, Pl-Sql with Oracel 8i,10g.
