2 Project Name: Time Sheet Mangement
Duration 6 months
Software Languages: JAVA
O/S: Windows
Database : JDBC and MySQL
Project Description:
Managing time effectively so that not only productivity goes up but organizations are able to plan each task and at the same time get a clear idea of the amount of work completed at any given point of time. Timesheets are used by organizations not only to track time utilized by each employee, manage online timesheet approvals and billing but also track and monitor non-project related work to collect data for analysis. Each employee keys in the data to record the amount of work that he/she has done on a daily basis.
The project manager is able to obtain online information about the project - both in terms of the each team member's performance as well as the status of the entire project as against the original plan. With our data capture ability, we can extrapolate and find out when the project is likely to be completed. Through this data the organization can also utilize its resources better.
1 Project Name: Inventory Control
Duration 6 months
Software Languages: HTML with ASP,
O/S: Windows Windows
Database : MS Access
Project Description:
Inventory control is concerned with minimizing the total cost of inventory. The three main factors in inventory control decision making process are: 1) the cost of holding the stock (e.g., based on the interest rate). 2) The cost of placing an order (e.g., for row material stocks) or the set-up cost of production. 3) The cost of shortage, i.e., what is lost if the stock is insufficient to meet all demand. The third element is the most difficult to measure and is often handled by establishing a “service level” policy, e.g., certain percent age of demand will be met from stock without delay.
Re–Order Point: The Inventory level R in which an order is placed where R reaches some level, that level is re-order point.
Safety stock: Remaining inventory between the times that an order is placed and when new stock is received. If there are not enough inventories then a shortage may occur. Safety stock is a hedge against running out of inventory. It is an extra inventory to take care on unexpected events. It is often called buffer stock. The absence of inventory is called a shortage.
